Construction Management

Within the building industry, construction management has not only become a popular buzz word, but an equally popular and advantageous way of handling a construction project — especially for the owner. We can help in the overseeing and management of construction projects.

Generally, construction management has three objectives: to allow the customer to control the project and its cost; to provide the customer with knowledgeable advice; to do the day-to-day coordination for the customer using professional management techniques.

By being involved early in the project, we can use our experience to help evaluate and determine the most cost effective methods of construction, and foresee potential problems that could arise during the construction process. This leads to more value for the client. Therefore, we can help "back into a budget" and meet the clients needs and expectations. More specifically, our construction manager will:

Represent the owner during the project’s design phase by making suggestions, researching costs of considered options, and explaining reasons behind various design decisions.

Work with the building team in producing and distributing individual bid packages.

Counsel the client in the selection of a successful bidder for each package.

Negotiate with subcontractors on bid packages.

Act as owner's liaison with subcontractors during construction and coordinate and update as necessary.

Provide job costing and budget information to owner and lender to help ensure job is on budget, thus protecting their interest.
